18 Things I Learned at 18

Hey Y’all!! I know I’ve been kind of absent in the blog world lately lol. I’ve been so busy working three jobs and just living life. Since this is my first post in a while I wanted to do something fun and reflective. Sooooo as my 19th birthday approaches, I’ve tried to reflect on my 18th year of life. A year of a lot of changes and ups and downs. Things I’ve learned, things I want to change, memories, moments, challenges, etc.

With that being said, here are eighteen things I learned at age 18.

  1. Take Chances (even if it scares you, have no fear!! be brave)
  2. Spend Time With Your Family
  3. Don’t Care About What Others Think of You
  4. Look at the Bright Side of Things (glass half full)
  5. Cancel Out Negative Thoughts
  6. Don’t Be Afraid Of Failure
  7. Spend Time With Yourself (sometimes you need to take a personal day, and that’s okay!!)
  8. Loneliness Isn’t Always a Bad Thing
  9. Save Your Money (unless it’s completely necessary to splurge on that one thing ;))
  10. Forgive
  11. Don’t Dwell On Things That Have Hurt You (move on!!)
  12. Life Will Throw You Punches (it always seems to be at the worst times too)
  13. Everything Will Be Okay…
  14. Psalm 37:4
  15. Ask Yourself If It Will Matter That Much In 5-10 Years Before You Act
  16. It’s Okay To Be Different or Do Different Things
  17. Seek Guidance If You Need It
  18. Be Kind

These are just some of the things I have tried to live out, even though sometimes it can definitely be hard haha. & I know there are many more lessons to come…

xoxo,

sophie
