Fourth Of July Fun!!

The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. So of course I had to come back to the blog to create a post! I will (hopefully) do a follow-up post showing pictures from my actual 4th of July, but for now, I’ve created some dessert and outfit inspo for the upcoming holiday.

First, I’ll start off with the dessert recipes (since food always comes first obviously)

Sprinkle Butter Cookies ☆

These cookies are so simple to make and delicious! A very easy and cute way to create a festive cookie (for any holiday or event) that everyone will love!

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons evaporated milk
  • sprinkles of your choice

I got this recipe from another blog so instead of writing all of the steps out I am just going to link the original recipe here!

Raspberry Pie ☆

This yummy pie my Mom actually made for my Dad’s birthday on July 1st, but the recipe could also be used as a dessert for the 4th of July as well (especially if you add in some blueberries)!

  • 4 cups fresh raspberries
  • 1 Keebler Shortbread Pie Crust
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 4 tbsp. Raspberry Jello
  • 3 Tbsp. Cornstarch

Mix water, sugar, jello, and cornstarch in a pan. On medium heat, stir constantly until the mixture starts to thicken. Cool. Pour half a cup of picture into pie crust. Then put berries in pie. Slowly pour remaining sauce over berries. Refrigerate several hours to set. Serve with whipped cream!
